Cookie Policy

Last updated:

Cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) are small pieces of data stored in your browser. This page explains which ones we use and how you control them.

1. Strictly necessary storage (always on)

These are needed for the site to work and do not track you across other sites. They do not need consent.

  • Sign-in session (browser local storage, set by our authentication provider Supabase): keeps you signed in to the Student Portal or staff area. Removed when you sign out or clear your browser data.
  • Cookie choice (pc_cookie_consent_v1 in local storage): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics so we do not keep asking.

2. Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click "Accept analytics", we load Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which last up to about two years. We turn on IP anonymisation, turn off advertising features and never load analytics on the Student Portal, dashboard or management pages. If you reject analytics, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

3. Embedded video

Some lessons inside the Student Portal include YouTube videos. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which avoids storing YouTube cookies until you play a video. When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address in line with its own policy.

4. Advertising

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

5. Change your choice

You can change your choice at any time:

You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
